The Vice President of Financial Operations is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and analysis across the organization. Serving as a strategic partner to the CFO and executive leadership team, this role provides financial insights that drive operational performance, strategic decision-making, and sustainable growth. The VP of Financial Operations will lead the organization's budgeting and forecasting processes, ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, support mergers and acquisitions, and continuously enhance financial processes, systems, and analytics to improve organizational performance.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead the organization's annual budgeting, rolling forecast, and long-range financial planning processes.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models, including three-statement models, cash flow forecasts, scenario analyses, and strategic planning models.
  • Deliver meaningful variance analyses and forward-looking financial insights to support executive decision-making.
  • Partner with operational, clinical, and corporate leaders to evaluate financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and align financial plans with organizational priorities.
  • Monitor organizational performance against internal KPIs and external market benchmarks.
  • Lead preparation and delivery of Board, Private Equity Sponsor, executive leadership, and lender reporting packages, ensuring accurate, concise, and actionable financial narratives.
  • Ensure consistency, transparency, and accuracy across all internal and external financial reporting.
  • Prepare executive presentations and financial analyses to support strategic initiatives and business planning.
  • Oversee revenue recognition activities, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and alignment with healthcare reimbursement models.
  • Oversee the Accounts Receivable subledger and partner with the Controller to reconcile activity to the General Ledger.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Cycle and Operations leaders to monitor revenue trends, profitability, and financial performance.
  • Analyze cash flow, operating expenses, and profitability, identifying opportunities to improve financial performance.
  • Serve as a trusted financial advisor to operational and corporate leaders by translating financial data into actionable business insights.
  • Research industry trends, market conditions, and economic factors that may impact organizational performance.
  • Assist leaders in evaluating financial trade-offs, investment opportunities, and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Partner closely with the Analytics and Information Technology teams to ensure financial reporting systems, data integrity, and analytical tools effectively support business needs and organizational growth.
  • Support financial due diligence for acquisitions and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Prepare pro forma financial analyses and purchase accounting adjustments for reporting purposes.
  • Lead finance integration efforts for acquired organizations, ensuring seamless incorporation into financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and operational processes.
