Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: Abington

Steven Douglas has partnered with a mid-sized, manufacturing company with global operations is seeking a Director of FP&A to join its U.S. finance team. The role is central to a broader effort to centralize finance operations, strengthen cost discipline, and standardize reporting and KPIs across the U.S. footprint. This is a ground-floor opportunity for a hands-on finance professional to help modernize a finance function as the company shifts from a traditional, founder-led model to a more structured, internationally governed organization—with meaningful room to grow as the business continues to expand.

Job Responsibilities
  • Own the annual budgeting cycle and lead ongoing FP&A activities, monitoring actual performance against plan across several operating sites.
  • Drive cost-variance analysis and KPI tracking across facilities, pinpointing drivers of variance and developing corrective action plans.
  • Support international financial reporting standards, consolidation, tax compliance, and governance requirements spanning multiple countries and accounting frameworks.
  • Manage the integration of financial systems, processes, and internal controls for newly acquired business units.
  • Help design and roll out standardized finance policies and performance metrics across U.S. sites, ensuring consistency with corporate-level reporting expectations.
  • Serve as a key partner to the CFO, controller, finance managers and analysts, site-level administrative staff, plant leadership, and U.S. executive management, while contributing directly to a company-wide ERP rollout.
Job Qualifications
  • Solid analytical and financial background with hands-on budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A experience, plus familiarity with international reporting and consolidation standards (IFRS).
  • Track record of building or improving finance processes and controls within a lean, resource-constrained environment.
  • Background combining public accounting with corporate or operating-company experience, or equivalent exposure within a multinational business.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to earn trust quickly across U.S.

-based operational teams; comfort working within a multicultural organization is a plus.
  • Experience supporting or leading ERP implementations preferred; must be able to work independently in the details, not just through delegation, while remaining approachable and credible with plant-level staff.
