Responsible for coordination between all Law Enforcement Agencies, Common Pleas Courts, Magisterial Courts and Correctional Facilities both County and State for state sentenced inmates and fugitives as well as being an assistant T.A.C. Officer (N.C.I.C.) for the facility. When inmates are sentenced to a state facility the Control Sergeant would coordinate the transportation of said inmate between the state facility and county court, by:
Coordinate with Local Law Enforcement, Magistrate’s office, Common Pleas Offices, and State and County Offices from state to state.
Maintain all updates and certifications with N.C.I.C. system with applicable staff members.
- The principles, practices and procedures of records management as they pertain to the maintenance of criminal records
- Principles and procedures of computerized management information systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask
- Computer literacy in Word, Excel, Crystal Reports, Offender Management System, Common Pleas Court Management System, On-Base, PA Adult Probation System,
- Crimes codes, court procedures, and criminal justice documents which relate to the commitment, release, extradition, sentence or transfer of inmates.

- Purdon’s Title 42, Judiciary and Judicial Procedures
- PA Act 84,
- PA rules of Court for Criminal Procedures
- A high school diploma or G.E.D.
- Successfully completed training at the state sponsored officer cadet school or equivalent accredited training.
- First aid and firearms training certifications
- Not sustained any major violation for a period of three (3) years prior to the expiration date of the posting announcing the positions's availability, and none since posting.
- Four (4) years continuous service as a correctional officer at LCCF with at least one thousand (1,000) days of compensable status.
