DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position oversees employment, skill development, and vocational guidance for inmates at SCI Greene. It supports both program administration and hands-on coordination to help inmates prepare for future opportunities. As a Corrections Employment and Vocational Coordinator, you will perform the following duties:
- Program Oversight:
Supervise and contribute to administration of inmate employment operations - Placement Planning:
Coordinate placement decisions and evaluate vocational and technical training options - Payroll Management:
Administer payroll processes and review time and attendance documentation - Counseling Support:
Provide employment guidance that assists inmates with job adjustments and training selections - Data Reporting:
Track and record information on inmate employment progress and related activities - Staff
Collaboration:
Work with institutional staff and committees to support work assignment monitoring and problem resolution

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hour work week
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework:
You will not have the option to telework in this position. - Salary:
In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. - This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.

Required Experience, Training & Eligibility
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience as a Corrections Employment and Vocational Assistant; or
- Two years of para-professional experience in obtaining and evaluating vocational oremployment information; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
