Position: AMMUNITION INSPECTOR with Security Clearance
Location: Gap

Duties As an Ammunition Inspector, WG-6501-09, you will conduct pre-issue inspection of ammunition items prior to issue. Inspect ammunition, perform maintenance, care, preservation, shipping and storage operations, assuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety regulations, drawings, etc. during operations. Responsible for the requirements of all ammunition management documentation. Assist in the National Level Ammunition Capability (NLAC) resupply and excess management process as required.

General knowledge of ammunition processes, regulations, and inspection requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of employment

* This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
* Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
* Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
* Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
* Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
* Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
* May be required to successfully complete a trial period.
* Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. Qualifications APPOINTMENT STATUS: EXCEPTED This is a Dual Status Excepted Service Technician position in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. AREA OF CONSIDERATION:
Non-bargaining Position AOC 1: NG Employees at USPFO Supply and Services Division AOC 2: NG employees in the USPFO (This includes Internal Revenue, Contracting, Resource Management, and DPI) AOC 3: NG Employees of the Pennsylvania National Guard Military Grades: ENLISTED E1-E9 The supervisor for this position is W01 Sema.

Accessioning into this position is contingent upon verification of Secret Security Clearance GENERAL EXPERIENCE :
Experience or training which demonstrates the ability to use and maintain tools and equipment associated with the type of work to be done, and to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Experience which demonstrates the knowledge of and the ability to apply safety standards. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE :

- Experience interpreting wiring diagrams and facility blueprints, as well as scale indications in a toxic or radioactive environment. Experience planning work sequences and determining the requirements for serviceability of equipment, and knows the impact of repairs on related integral devices. Experience interpreting technical publications with the ability to assist subordinates or other employees in interpreting technical publications applicable to the detection, identification and destruction of numerous types of explosives and toxic materials.

QUALITY OF

EXPERIENCE:

Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled.
