This position focuses on reviewing, coordinating, and supporting Intellectual Disabilities programs within the Washington County BHDS. The role ensures that services meet regulations and assists providers through planning, development, implementation, and coordination. As a County Specialist 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Program Review: Evaluate the effectiveness of Intellectual Disabilities services and ensure adherence to rules and regulations
- Service Oversight: Monitor delivery of services and support improvements across provider agencies
- Technical Guidance: Provide assistance in program planning, development, implementation, and coordination
- Training Participation: Attend required trainings including Certified Investigator, ODP mandated programs, and professional development sessions
- Policy Support: Assist with ensuring that program policies, objectives, and regulations are fully implemented
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Required to work outside of normal scheduled hours (Evenings & Weekends)
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

- Two years of professional experience in the field of intellectual disabilities, and a bachelor's degree;
or - An equivalent combination of experience and training.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- You must pass a background investigation.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical exam and a drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
