As a Special Agent A, you will be supporting investigations related to eligibility, over payments, and fraud within programs administered by the Department of Human Services. In this role, you will perform the following duties:

• Case Investigation:Conduct field investigations, gather evidence, and review records to determine eligibility and over payment issues
• Interview Work:Interview applicants, recipients, and other sources to collect information related to assets, income, and residence
• Regulation Application:Apply state and federal laws and regulations when reviewing cases and preparing findings
• Legal Preparation:Prepare reports, criminal complaints, and related documents for hearings and court proceedings
• Collaboration Duties:Work with law enforcement partners, participate in task forces, and support agency goals

• Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
• Telework:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 12 days per month, based on operational needs. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Stroudsburg.

  Travel is required throughout the Commonwealth to conduct investigative activities, attend administrative hearings, conduct subject/collateral contact interviews, participate in prosecutions, and to attend trainings. Out of state and overnight travel may be required as deemed necessary.

• One year of investigative experience and a bachelor’s degree;
  or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

• This position requires possession of an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent.
• You must obtain CLEAN/NCIC certification within two months of employment and maintain this certification for the duration of employment in this job.

• You must possess solid written and verbal communication skills.
