Special Agent , OSIG

This position supports investigations related to eligibility, over payments, and fraud within programs administered by the Department of Human Services. As a Special Agent A, you will perform the following duties:

• Case Investigation:
  Conduct field investigations, gather evidence, and review records to determine eligibility and over payment issues
• Interview Work:
  Interview applicants, recipients, and other sources to collect information related to assets, income, and residence
• Regulation Application:
  Apply state and federal laws and regulations when reviewing cases and preparing findings
• Legal Preparation:
  Prepare reports, criminal complaints, and related documents for hearings and court proceedings
• Collaboration Duties:
  Work with law enforcement partners, participate in task forces, and support agency goals

Travel is required throughout the Commonwealth to conduct investigative activities, attend administrative hearings, conduct subject/collateral contact interviews, participate in prosecutions, and to attend trainings. Out of state and overnight travel may be required as deemed necessary.

• Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
• Telework:
  You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to twelve days a month based on operational needs at the end of the probationary period. You will be required to be in the office or in the field at least two days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
  
  If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Meadville. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

• One year of investigative experience and a bachelor’s degree; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

• This position requires possession of an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent.
• You must obtain CLEAN/NCIC certification within two months of employment and maintain this certification for the duration of employment in this job.
