- The Perinatal Education/Family Programs Instructor is responsible for:
- Safety of all customers.
- Participating in all IRMC mandatory opportunities.
- Assuring evidence based educational programs.
- Participating in performance improvement projects.
- Completing Assigned Dept. Projects/Tasks.
- Assisting with Dept. Budget.
- Participating in scheduled/assigned community events.
- Work cooperatively with all members of the Perinatal Educational Team.
- Assist with staff in-services.

- Minimum
Education Required:
Graduate of a Nursing Program, Licensed Healthcare Program or Bachelor Degree in Health Related Field - Minimum Experience
Required:
two years or more of teaching childbirth or maternal child education preferred or two years of practical experience in maternal/child or women’s health nursing.
- Must be BLS certified required (or obtain within one month of hire).
- Posses the ability to:
- Research, develop and deliver evidence based, inclusive educational programs.
- Organize effective teaching plans with appropriate teaching strategies.
- Resolve problems and work independently.
- Communicate effectively at many different cultural levels.
- Model patient advocacy in healthcare and guide customers through the informed decision-making process.
- Identify and work to achieve personal and team goals.
