Job Details

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning of all patients referred for their given services. The therapist is an integral healthcare provider accountable to assist the patient to their highest level of physical, cognitive, linguistic and swallowing function. The therapist will uphold the mission, vision, and values of Jefferson Health.

• Provide therapy evaluations, treatment planning, treatment interventions and discharge planning for a full patient caseload in acute care, skilled facility, acute rehab, outpatient settings as appropriate.
• Plan, organize and deliver treatment programs that help clients recover and rehabilitate.
• Utilize tools and techniques to administer safe therapeutic interventions and training for patients and families.
• Record and document clients’ health progress information for evaluation, all therapeutic interventions including daily treatments, progress notes, evaluations and discharge summaries.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
• Valid state license in Occupational Therapy.
• Valid certification from the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is required.
• BLS and CPR certification required via AHA.
