The SCI PT Supervisor manages the physical therapy team for the spinal cord injury program.
Responsibilities include:
- Participating in hiring decisions, staff development, and performance reviews.
- Managing day-to-day operations and collaborating with interdisciplinary team members for program development.
- Participating in the Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency program.
- Providing patient care commensurate with operational needs of the unit/service line.
- Serving as a mentor and supervisor for staff at all levels.
- Collaborating with the Therapy Manager for staff development and disciplinary processes.
- Conducting interview processes for PTs and program positions.
- Orienting and onboarding new staff.
- Preparing performance appraisals for therapists, assistants, and aides.
- Ensuring compliance with accreditation and certification standards, and implementing quality assurance and program evaluation systems.
- Supporting implementation and coordination of projects and process improvement initiatives for the Spinal Cord Program.
- Attending conferences and maintaining the department's knowledge of changes and updates.
- Developing and implementing best practices for SCI rehabilitation.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program.
- Minimum 6 years of clinical experience with supervisory experience required.
- Valid state license in Physical Therapy.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification via American Heart Association.
