Job Details
For over 20 years, Jefferson Moss‑Magee Rehabilitation Hospital has been recognized as a Model System of Care program. The hospital offers cutting‑edge treatment and research focused on the recovery of individuals with complex medical conditions. Jefferson Moss‑Magee Rehabilitation Hospital is currently seeking a neuropsychologist/psychologist to conduct assessments and provide psychological treatment for patients with injuries, support families, address adjustment and coping challenges, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
EssentialFunctions
- Interact with co‑workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
- Provide neuropsychological and psychological services for complex medical conditions.
- Offer education and supportive counseling to patients and families, aiding them in coping with life‑altering situations and assisting with decision‑making processes.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nursing, physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, recreational therapy, social work, and other allied health professionals.
- Assist the team in understanding the neuropsychological status of individuals and collaboratively develop treatment plans and behavioral interventions.
- Conduct cognitive and behavioral assessments using evidence‑based tools, clinical interviews, and direct observation, documenting results in the electronic medical record.
- Develop and implement behavioral interventions and support treatment teams in applying these strategies.
- Engage in supervision and teaching activities, including didactics and supervision of graduate psychology trainees.
- Communicate effectively and interact with all levels of staff, primary care providers, patients, and community agencies.
- Comply with hospital and network policies regarding confidentiality, emergency procedures, and disaster response.
Required
- Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from an APA accredited university.
Preferred
- Specialization in Neuropsychology strongly preferred.
