Clinical Training Specialist POSITION SUMMARYThe Training Specialist is responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering new hire orientation and ongoing training programs for Front Desk Associates, Medical Assistants, and Radiologic Technologists across the organization. This position plays a critical role in ensuring operational consistency, clinical excellence, and a positive patient and employee experience by providing initial onboarding, refresher training, competency support, and ad hoc education in response to identified needs.
The Training Specialist regularly travels to all centers to provide in‑person coaching, support process improvements, reinforce best practices, and address training opportunities. The position is also responsible for maintaining accurate training records and ensuring compliance with required certifications, including CPR.
Travel is an essential function of this role. Mileage incurred while traveling between centers will be reimbursed in accordance with company policy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to) New Hire Orientation and Onboarding- Facilitate new hire orientation programs for Front Desk Associates, Medical Assistants, and Radiologic Technologists.
- Deliver classroom, hands‑on, and systems‑based training to ensure employees are prepared to perform job duties safely and effectively.
- Assess employee comprehension and competency throughout the onboarding process.
- Collaborate with operational and clinical leaders to continuously improve orientation content and materials.
- Travel regularly to all centers to conduct scheduled and ad‑hoc training sessions.
- Provide refresher training and skills reinforcement for existing employees.
- Identify knowledge gaps and training opportunities through observation, audits, and feedback from leadership.
- Reinforce company policies, workflows, customer service standards, and clinical best practices.
- Provide one‑on‑one coaching and support to employees requiring additional assistance.
- Assist with the implementation and education of new programs, processes, technologies, and workflow changes.
- Ensure that all training requirements are met for UCA accreditation.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all training activities and competencies.
- Track employee participation and completion of required training programs.
- Coordinate ongoing CPR trainings and maintain CPR certification records for all applicable employees and ensure timely renewals.
- Monitor compliance with mandatory education requirements and communicate deficiencies to leadership.
- Prepare training reports and provide updates regarding completion rates and outstanding requirements.
- Maintain training materials, manuals, presentations, and competency checklists.
- Manage Med Trainer system and additions of new hires to EMR.
- Partner with Center Managers, Clinical Team Leads, Operations, Human Resources, and Clinical Leadership to identify training needs.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives aimed at standardizing workflows and enhancing the patient experience.
- Serve as a resource and subject matter expert for operational and clinical training programs.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and professional development.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of five years of healthcare experience required.
- Prior experience in urgent care, ambulatory care, or outpatient healthcare preferred.
- Previous training, education, coaching, or leadership experience preferred.
- Knowledge of front desk operations and medical assisting workflows.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, documentation, and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and learning management systems.
- Current CPR Instructor certification preferred or ability to obtain certification.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
