This role supports individuals in residential settings by helping deliver training, treatment, and daily support that encourage personal development. As a Residential Services Aide, you will perform the following duties:

  • Individual Support: Assist with preparing assessment and training plan information to ensure each individual’s strengths and needs are fully documented
  • Training Delivery: Carry out assigned training plans to reinforce skills outlined in support documents
  • Progress Monitoring: Record and report updates on training plans to help maintain effective services
  • Team Participation: Share observations and collaborate with the team to strengthen coordinated support
  • Environment Assistance: Help maintain a safe and supportive living environment through thoughtful selection and placement of personal items

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM, on a rotating schedule, with a 30-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.
  • Overtime is required. Travel will be as needed.
  • Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non‑negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Successful completion of the Aide Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);
    or
  • Six months of paid experience in the care, activities, and personal guidance of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Other Requirements:
  • You must meet the PA residency requirement. For more information on ways to meet PA residency requirements, follow the link and click on Residency Guidelines.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
