Environmental Services Aide

Under general supervision, the Environmental Services Aide performs housekeeping duties to maintain the Hospital in an orderly, safe, and sanitary condition, which includes cleaning and sanitizing patient rooms, offices, restrooms, and public areas.

Essential Functions:

• Performs cleaning and sanitizing of patient rooms and offices which may include vacuuming, high and low dusting, bed stripping/making and removal of general and hazardous waste; performs cleaning of restrooms following proper infection control procedures
• Adheres to all established systems and training programs to provide a safe working environment
• Complies with all OSHA regulations and other local, state and federal government regulations
• Follows cleaning procedures in a safe manner
• Completes all assignments as scheduled and ability to work well under time restraints
• Recognizes and adopts activities appropriate to the specific needs of the patient/office population and demonstrates knowledge of specific issues
• Ability to work rotating shifts
• Ensures that customers and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals' needs and rights

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma/GED, preferred Over 6 months to 1 year Previous general housekeeping experience, preferred Basic knowledge of infection control and universal precautions preferred
