Position:
Physical Therapist

Salary Range: $40 - $52 per hour

Schedule:

40 hours per week, Monday - Friday with one weekend day required per month

Facility: 193 bed skilled nursing facility with a nice mix of short-term and long-term care patients.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at our 193 bed skilled nursing facility. Our facility offers a nice mix of short-term and long-term care patients, providing a diverse and rewarding work environment. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with a variety of physical disabilities and conditions, helping them to regain their strength, mobility, and independence.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their physical abilities and limitations
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' needs and goals
  • Implement and monitor treatment plans, making adjustments as needed to ensure progress
  • Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities to help patients improve their physical function and reduce pain
  • Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for exercises and activities to continue at home
  • Document all treatments and progress in patients' medical records
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
  • Stay updated on new techniques and advancements in physical therapy to continuously improve patient care
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current state license or eligibility to obtain state license
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
