Brethren Village Retirement Community, in Lititz, PA, has full-time and part-time opportunities for
Licensed Practical Nurses in our Skilled Nursing Facility.

Newly-licensed LPN's earn a base rate of $31.50, with higher rates for experienced LPN's. LPN's are also eligible for generous shift differentials ($3.00 extra per hour on the evening shift, $2.00 extra per hour on the night shift, plus $1.00 extra per hour on weekends) .

Full-time and flexible part-time o pportunities for LPN's are typically available on all shifts, in our 120-bed Skilled Nursing Facility and in our 20-bed Short Term Rehabilitation Center.

Brethren Village offers new LPN's extensive on-the-job training to set you up for success; on-going guidance and support; an environment where you can develop your skills; a variety of work schedules to meet your needs.

Brethren Village's LPN's provide the highest-quality clinical care, while fostering positive and supportive relationships with older adult Residents, to enhance their physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being. Our LPN's work cooperatively with RN's and CNA's to monitor health status and provide direct patient care.

• Full-time, benefits-eligible, 37.5 to 40 hours per week: 8-hour and 12-hour per day schedules are typically available on all shifts; work days will vary a bit from week to week and typically include periodic weekends and every other holiday; some Monday through Friday positions are available
• Part-time: part-time schedules are typically available on all shifts, including some 4-hour schedules and weekend-only schedules (weekend-only schedules -- 48 weekends per year -- include a 50% pay premium)

• a high school diploma or G.E.D.
• basic computer skills: the ability to access and navigate web sites, and use software, apps, and databases independently
• the ability to complete online training independently
• dependability: ability and willingness to meet attendance standards
• attention to safety: ability and willingness to consistently work in a safe and alert manner, and to report to work fit for duty; commitment to wearing protective equipment as required for the position and adhering to all health and safety standards
• commitment to treating each Resident, Team Member, and member of the Brethren Village community with respect

• valid PA LPN credentials
• current CPR and First Aid certification
• ability and willingness to provide effective guidance and coaching to CNA's
• willingness to provide assistance to Residents, including Residents with cognitive impairment, with their dressing, grooming, bathing, eating, and bathroom needs when needed
• the ability to safely transfer Residents, properly using mechanical lifts when necessary; to safely push adult Residents in wheel chairs; to safely assist Residents who may begin to fall
• the ability to quickly and safely assist Residents during emergency evacuations and other emergency situations
• the ability to remain calm and provide effective care in a fast-paced environment
• understanding of HIPAA privacy regulations
• ability and willingness to work every other weekend and holiday

Please note :
Applicants who are offered employment must be able to attend a 2 to 3 hour pre-employment appointment during the morning or early afternoon, including an off-site physical exam, and participate in an orientation session from 7:30 a.m.
