Role: Physical Therapist Assistant, responsible for delivering patient treatment, exercise instruction, and education to improve patient well-being within an established care plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow state-specific laws and supervise physical therapy procedures as directed by a licensed PT.
- Instruct patients in active/passive exercises, gait, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
- Monitor, document, and report patient responses and condition changes to the supervising PT and healthcare team.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques within scope of practice.
- Current license, registration, or certification to practice physical therapy assistance.
- CPR certification, valid driver's license, and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work in diverse home environments and perform physical tasks such as lifting and assisting with mobility.
- Availability to work weekends.
