Description of WorkThis position focuses on reviewing service plans, monitoring waiver utilization, and ensuring service details match assessed needs and program requirements. It requires strong attention to detail, clear communication with agencies and providers, and careful analysis of service reports. As a County Intellectual Disabilities Program Specialist 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Plan Review: Assess Individual Support Plans to verify that authorized waiver services match documented needs.
- Utilization Tracking: Monitor service usage trends and review reports from systems and provider agencies.
- Agency Reporting: Request and analyze utilization reports from service coordination agencies.
- Provider Support: Work with waiver providers to encourage timely billing and resolve issues that affect claims processing.
- Data Accuracy: Ensure service details reflect true utilization and align with available funding.
- Quality Participation: Assist with risk management, quality assurance processes, and completion of required investigations.
- Two years of professional experience in the field of intellectual disabilities, and a bachelor's degree;
or - An equivalent combination of experience and training.
