Job Summary

$30,000 sign‑on bonus for eligible applicants. The MRI Team Leader serves as the modality technical expert for assigned modality and/or imaging location. The Team Leader is a “working supervisor,” expected to perform clinical work, coordinate patient care, and supervise delivery of patient care. Primary responsibilities include coordination of patient care, oversight of patient safety, process improvement, quality, consistency, standardization of imaging protocols, staff competency and training, policy adherence, equipment, staff schedules, and supply management.

Works closely with modality manager and/or operations manager to provide administrative leadership assistance.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and supervise the delivery of patient care and imaging functions within assigned locations.
  • Maintain technical competency in the modality.
  • Provide day‑to‑day supervision for an assigned radiology modality, including patient safety, process improvement, quality, standardization, validation of staff competency, training coordination, policy adherence, equipment and supply management.
  • Ensure all diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are performed by qualified and competent staff, meet the highest quality standards, and follow radiation safety principles of ALARA, ACR Guidelines for imaging practices, and ACR Guidelines for MRI Safety (if applicable).
  • Work directly with lead technologists and front‑line staff to solve problems and reduce barriers to success.
  • Collaborate with others to ensure high departmental safety, quality, and teamwork.
  • Manage and coordinate ACR accreditation of assigned locations, as applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accrediting requirements for the assigned section, including American College Radiology, Inter‑Societal Accreditation Commission, Joint Commission, Department of Health, NRC, and Department of Environmental Protection.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree – required. Graduate from a specialty training program in Radiologic Technology – required.
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience – required.
  • Minimum 3 years of imaging experience – required.
  • Certification: ARRT® with Radiography (R) and Magnetic Resonance (MR) or ARMRIT. Basic Life Support Certification.
  • In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, 4 additional years of medical imaging experience will be accepted.
