Occupational Therapist – Emotional Support (School-Based) – 3 days per week
Compensation Hourly Rate: $50-$55 per hour

Aston, Pennsylvania 19014 Onsite
As a School-Based Occupational Therapist, you will provide occupational therapy services to students in emotional support classrooms throughout Pennsylvania. You will help students develop the sensory, emotional regulation, self-regulation, and functional skills needed to succeed in the educational environment. Working collaboratively with special education staff, behavior specialists, psychologists, and families, you will support students in achieving meaningful educational outcomes while ensuring compliance with IDEA and state regulations.

- Shift Details:
School Year | Monday–Friday | Daytime Hours – 3 days per week - Hours per Week: 21-24 = 3 days per week

- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations to assess students' sensory, motor, functional, and self-regulation needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with each student's IEP goals.
- Collaborate with special education teachers, BCBAs, school psychologists, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success.
- Recommend sensory strategies, environmental modifications, adaptive equipment, and classroom accommodations to promote participation.
- Maintain accurate documentation, evaluation reports, progress notes, and Medicaid or district-required records while remaining compliant with federal and Pennsylvania regulations.
- Required:
Master's Degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Required:
Active Pennsylvania Occupational Therapist License (or eligibility through the Pennsylvania State Board of Occupational Therapy). - Current Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance.
- Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check.
- FBI Federal Criminal History Fingerprint Clearance.
- Experience working with pediatric or school-aged students, preferably in emotional support or behavioral settings.
- Knowledge of sensory processing, emotional regulation, trauma-informed practices, and school-based interventions.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to develop educationally relevant treatment plans and contribute effectively to multidisciplinary IEP teams.
