This position centers on delivering assessments, treatment, and clinical guidance within the Sexual Responsibility and Treatment Program. You help residents progress by providing therapy, documenting improvement, and administering specialized evaluations. As a Psychological Services Specialist, DHS, you will perform the following duties:
- Assessment Activities: Complete sex offense-specific assessments related to arousal, treatment progress, and risk of reoffending
- Therapeutic Services: Deliver cognitive-behavioral treatment and psychoeducation to individuals and groups
- Progress Documentation: Document weekly service delivery and resident improvement according to established requirements
- Primary Therapy: Provide individualized interventions and coordinate treatment plans, referrals, and ongoing clinical needs
- Staff Training: Offer consultation and guidance to facility staff on methods for working with the sexual offender population

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- A master's degree in a behavioral science, counseling education, rehabilitation, human development or a closely related field.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
