Research Fellow — Market Access & Healthcare Consulting
Cencora's Market Access & Healthcare Consulting (MAHC) Pharmacy Fellowship is a prestigious two-year postdoctoral programme designed to equip PharmD graduates with the expertise, skills, and real-world experience needed to thrive in a healthcare consulting environment.
Fellows will gain exposure across a broad range of disciplines — from scientific communication and medical writing to health outcomes research and market access strategy — all within a dynamic, collaborative, and mentorship-driven setting. As part of this programme, fellows will also complete a minimum of 30 units of coursework through the University of Florida, College of Pharmacy, earning a formal academic credential alongside professional experience.
What You'll Do :
As a Research Fellow within the MAHC team, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Develop stakeholder communication materials including AMCP format formulary dossiers, global value dossiers, scientific publications (e.g., posters and manuscripts), and field-based scientific slide decks
- Review and critically evaluate medical literature and the broader healthcare landscape
- Participate in protocol development, data collection, data management, and data analysis
- Apply health outcomes and pharmacoeconomic principles to managed markets
- Support real-world evidence generation and economic modelling projects
- Develop an understanding of reimbursement principles to support payer strategy development
- Analyse the impact of health policy changes and conduct provider-based reimbursement education
- Engage with market research methods and market access strategy initiatives
- Develop a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical manufacturer's business and its interaction with consulting organisations
- Disseminate evidence through medical communications channels
- Build a breadth of business skills and clinical knowledge unique to a consulting environment

Requirements:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree (completed or in progress)
- US citizenship or lawful permanent resident status
- Strong academic record — GPA must be included in your CV or cover letter
- Demonstrated interest in health outcomes research, market access, or healthcare consulting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
How to Apply
PharmD candidates are not required to participate in the Personnel Placement Service (PPS) through the ASHP Midyear Meeting to request an interview. Cencora uses its own application process.
Step 1 — Application | August 17 to October 9, 2026

- Curriculum Vitae (CV)— must include your current pharmacy school GPA
Deadline: 11:59 PM ET, Friday, October 9, 2026
Step 2 — Screening Interviews | October 12 to October 16, 2026
- Up to two rounds of virtual screening interviews conducted via Microsoft Teams
- Interviews held with current Fellows and the MAHC Fellowship Leadership Team
- Decisions communicated by 5:00 PM ET, Monday, October 12, 2026
Step 3 — Final Interviews | October 26 to October 29, 2026
Candidates advancing to final-round interviews will be asked to:
- Submit unofficial pharmacy school transcripts and three letters of recommendation electronically to (recommendations addressed to Breyanne Bannister)
- Complete a brief writing sample prior to the final interview
- Deliver a 15-minute on-site presentation
Final-round interviews will be conducted at AMCP Nexus in San Diego.
