Utilize expert reporting and analytical skills to support HCBO management in the generation, distribution, and analysis of key financial reports and metrics.
Responsibilities:- The primary function of this role is to provide business support for the HCBO as it relates to reporting content and overall EPIC functionality. Responsible for the communication of all related changes / improvements to the appropriate constituents.
- Serves as the liaison between IT and the HCBO for all Epic related issues. Coordinates with IS the upgrading of Epic as it pertains to Resolute Hospital Billing.
- Identify opportunities to improve upon workflows and system build.
- Responsible for the creation, maintenance, and distribution of key financial reports and materials including but not limited to the Entity AR Packets, KPI Bulletins, and Payer Report Cards. Develop expert skills in SQL, Slicer Dicer, and Reporting Workbench frameworks to serve as the content expert and main resource for report requests for our HCBO management staff
- Monitor Workqueue volumes and audit rule configuration to identify and resolve gaps or inefficiencies within our HB Work queues
- Assist in analyzing payer performance, AR aging & trending, denials, cash, and other relevant KPI's, and work with HCBO management team to review findings and develop root cause solutions
- Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures
- Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization
- Achieve and maintain EPIC Resolute Billing/ Claims Certification is required.
- Bachelor's degree is required.
OR
- 4+ year of progressively responsible positions in a multi-specialty physician billing operation. Working knowledge of billing operational procedures, charge entry, payment posting, and data entry processes related to pro-fee billing. Extensive knowledge of computerized physician billing systems, preferably Epic is required.
