Position’sScope
The Lead Counselor provides chemical dependency clinical services of Alpine Springs Linesville, LLC to clients and their families consistent with our policies and procedures and the PA Health Department. The Lead Counselor also assists the Clinical Supervisor with counseling duties.
Responsibilities- Document a complete assessment, individual treatment plan, progress notes, transition plan and discharge summary for each client according to our policies, procedures, and the PA Department of Health Drug & Alcohol Licensing laws and regulations.
- Provide assistance with supervision to the counseling department.
- Provide individual and group counseling services to clients.
- Provide chemical dependency family counseling services to clients and family members.
- Ensure client confidentiality at all times.
- Participate in the implementation and maintenance of the DDAP standards.
- Train and develop both current and new counselors.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Ability to conduct the twelve core functions of a counselor.
- Skilled in individual and family counseling and facilitation of groups.
- Ability to complete an initial and ongoing assessment of clients.
- Ability to develop a measurable treatment plan.
- Ability to organize, schedule, and keep accurate records with minimum supervision.
- Work flexible hours. Knowledge of clinical documentation—progress notes, Biopsychosocial, D/C summary, Continuing Care Plan, etc.
- Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records.
Full-Time (40 hours per week).
Pay Range$22.00-$25.00/Hourly; DOE.
Weekly Work Schedule- Generally, this position is day shift hours, Mon‑Fri from 9AM‑5PM.
- May need to work shift work each week.
- Position may require evenings and weekends on occasion to aid in covering company hours; must be flexible.
- Alpine Springs operates 24 hours per day and 7 days per week. Employees are assigned shifts to accommodate these hours. All employees are expected to be flexible and understand they may be asked to work different shifts or at different sites to cover hours.
- Linesville facility (Clinically Managed Residential and Withdrawal Management/Detox).
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing, or other related fields.
- One year of full‑time work experience (or 4,000 part‑time hours) delivering substance abuse treatment services.
- Education and experience must comply with the PA Department of Health Rules and Regulations Chapter 704.7.
- At least one to two years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Knowledge of clinical documentation—progress notes, Biopsychosocial, D/C summary, Continuing Care Plan, etc.
- Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records.
