Brethren Village Retirement Community, in Lititz, PA, is seeking a Concierge for part-time employment.
Our Concierge team provides a variety of services to Residents, in a helpful and efficient manner. The Concierge serves as the primary point of contact for Residents and guests of Brethren Village, and provides exceptional service at all times.
The Concierge greets and welcomes visitors to Brethren Village; directs visitors and delivery personnel; provides assistance to our Residents with a variety of issues, or directs their inquiries to others as appropriate; responds to numerous phone calls and requests for information and assistance in a prompt and courteous manner; tracks information using computer programs and apps; accurately completes data entry; provides general administrative support for projects and events, working collaboratively with staff from various departments.
Work Schedule:- Part-time: day shift; typically 8 to 16 hours per week; work days and hours may vary from week to week
- Occasional weekend work may be required (Brethren Village provides an extra $1.00 per hour for weekend work)
- a high school diploma or G.E.D.
- dependability: ability and willingness to meet attendance standards
- the ability to read and to complete online training independently
- ability and willingness to consistently work in a safe and alert manner, and to report to work fit for duty; commitment to wearing protective equipment as required for the position, and adhering to all health and safety standards

- at least 1 year of prior, related experience as a receptionist, office or administrative assistant, customer service specialist, or concierge
- must be comfortable interacting with campus visitors, older adult Residents, and staff
- must provide exceptional customer service at all times, and deal with difficult situations in a professional and courteous manner
- must possess effective computer skills: the ability to use applications and databases independently; work proficiently with Word, Excel, and Outlook email
- must be able to remain calm in a fast-paced environment; must be able to work effectively with interruptions
- must handle petty cash in a responsible manner
- must exhibit accuracy with work, including data entry
- flexibility with work schedule
- ability to carry and deliver mail and packages throughout the campus if needed

Please note:
Applicants who are offered employment must be able to attend a 2 to 3 hour pre-employment appointment during a weekday morning or early afternoon, including an off-site physical exam, and participate in an orientation session from 7:30 a.m.
