Senior Billing Specialist

Chartiers Center is a private, non‑profit corporation funded by state, county, third‑party insurances and private funds. Services include intake, referral, outpatient therapy, psychiatric assessment, service coordination, substance abuse treatment, training and social rehabilitative services, crisis intervention, partial hospitalization, community outreach, day, and recreational services for adults with intellectual disabilities, homeless outreach, and housing program.

As a Senior Billing Specialist with Chartiers Center, you would be responsible for all types of insurance and client payment processing including posting, denial management, insurance eligibility verification and month‑end reconciliation. The Senior Billing Specialist job duties include:

• Verify insurance eligibility daily
• Post insurance and client payments accurately and in a timely manner
• Review, resolve and follow up on claim denials and rejections
• Manage follow‑up for accounts receivable
• Complete month‑end balancing and closing procedures
• Handle billing for clients, and insurance companies including Medical Assistance, Medicare, commercial insurers, and others as required.
• Submission of claims electronically and via paper when necessary.

• Medical Billing Certificate and one (1) to two (2) years billing experience OR
• High School Diploma and three (3) years billing/experience.
