Pulmonary / Respiratory Care, Respiratory Therapist
Perform routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals
Maintain all respiratory care equipment in working order
Provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing for the patient population as required or requested
Care for a diverse population of chronically and critically ill patients requiring extended hospital care
Work collaboratively with colleagues and leadership to deliver compassionate care and support the best possible patient outcomes
- Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care
- Must possess and maintain current BLS certification
- Must possess and maintain current ACLS certification
- Blood gas licensure required if employed in the state of Nevada
- For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required; an associate degree is preferred
- Minimum of one-year clinical respiratory experience preferred
- Prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn
Demonstrates expertise in performing cardiopulmonary procedures and maintaining respiratory care equipment, while providing compassionate care to critically ill patients. Holds necessary certifications and possesses clinical experience in a hospital setting.
