Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic Clinical Science leadership across the hematology disease area (multiple studies, programs, and assets).
  • Contribute to disease area strategy using hematologic oncology expertise to guide development opportunities, portfolio risks, and implications of internal/external data.
  • Standardize Clinical Science approaches (medical data review practices, data interpretation, deliverables) and promote scientific consistency across studies while allowing program-specific needs.
  • Provide senior scientific guidance: interpret clinical data across studies/cohorts/assets; frame key clinical/scientific/data issues for governance; contribute to protocol development/amendments, study design, endpoint selection, eligibility, and biomarker strategy.
  • Contribute to governance and portfolio discussions with cross-study insights; translate portfolio priorities into Clinical Science strategies/capabilities/resource plans.
  • Lead and develop Clinical Science talent (direct management as appropriate); coach/mentor and foster accountability and continuous learning.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (Clinical Ops, Regulatory, Biostatistics/Data Mgmt, Safety/PV, Translational Medicine, Medical Affairs) to ensure aligned planning and decision-making.
Qualifications
  • PhD/PharmD + at least 7 years hematological oncology drug development, OR Master’s in life sciences + 12 years.
  • Significant experience in Clinical Development/Clinical Science/oncology development (or related pharma/biotech function).
  • Demonstrated Clinical Science leadership across multiple studies/programs/assets; deep hematologic cancer expertise; strong clinical trial design and oncology data review/interpretation; experience with cross-functional matrix teams.
