Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) – PTA or COTA Required
Location: Rose City Nursing and Rehabilitation – Lancaster, PA
Schedule: Full-Time

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) to lead our in-house therapy department at Rose City Nursing and Rehabilitation in Lancaster, PA. This leadership role is ideal for a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) who is passionate about clinical excellence, team leadership, and delivering exceptional care to residents.

As the DOR, you will oversee the daily operations of physical, occupational, and speech therapy services while supporting strong clinical outcomes, regulatory compliance, and a positive, collaborative therapy environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage therapy staff, including Therapists and Therapy Assistants (PT, PTA, OT, COTA, and SLP)

  • Oversee the daily operations of the rehabilitation department, including staffing, scheduling, and workflow

  • Ensure all therapy staff maintain current licensure and meet regulatory and compliance standards

  • Oversee therapy documentation, quality audits, and clinical processes

  • Maintain high clinical standards and drive operational excellence

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident outcomes and continuity of care

  • Mentor, support, and develop therapy team members

  • Implement and support new therapy programs and initiatives to enhance resident outcomes

Qualifications:
  • Active PTA or COTA license in the state of Pennsylvania

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant or Occupational Therapy Assistant program

  • Minimum of 3 years of direct patient care experience

  • At least 1 year of management or supervisory experience in a rehabilitation or healthcare setting preferred, or demonstrated leadership experience in a clinical role

  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills

  • Commitment to clinical excellence, ethical care, and resident-centered outcomes
