Radiologic Technologist - Urgent Care - Gilbertsville

Job Summary

Radiologic Technologist performs radiographic procedures, producing images for interpretation by a licensed independent practitioner. Radiographers must demonstrate understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology. Radiographers must maintain a high degree of accuracy in radiographic positioning and exposure technique. They must maintain knowledge of radiation protection and safety. Radiographers must remain sensitive to physical, cultural and emotional needs of the patient through good communication, patient assessment, monitoring and care skills.

Radiographers actively participate in a dual role while working in the clinical environment.

Duties include but are not limited to patient registration, scheduling, clerical support, and customer service. Basic medical assistant duties may be performed after training and competency are demonstrated. Medical assistant duties may include triaging patients under provider direction. Functions include obtaining height and weight, vital signs, and specific point of care testing.

• BLS Certification
• RT (ARRT) or Certification eligible technologists hired upon graduation pass examination prior to start date
