Mancan Staffing is seeking an exceptional Medical Secretary /Technician to join a busy ophthalmology practice. We are looking for a candidate who is professional, personable, polished, dependable, and patient-focused, with the ability to represent the practice in a positive and professional manner.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a professional appearance and demeanor, and the ability to interact comfortably with patients, physicians, and staff. Professional conduct, appropriate workplace behavior, and a strong presentation are essential for this position.

Responsibilities:

* Front-desk and general office responsibilities

* Check patients in and out

* Schedule and confirm patient appointments

* Answer phones and assist patients with questions

* Maintain accurate patient information in the EHR system

* Obtain and document patient medical histories

* Perform ophthalmology-related patient testing

* Assist with the daily flow and organization of the office

* Maintain patient confidentiality and follow office policies and procedures

* Provide friendly, professional, and compassionate customer service

* Work effectively with physicians, clinical staff, and other office personnel

Qualifications:

* Previous medical office, medical secretary, ophthalmology, or clinical experience preferred

* Experience with an EHR system preferred

* Comfortable obtaining patient medical histories and performing basic testing

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Professional appearance and demeanor

* Personable, confident, and comfortable interacting with patients

* Reliable and dependable

* Ability to maintain professionalism and appropriate workplace conduct at all times

* Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a busy medical environment

* Must be flexible and willing to work 4 days in Pittsburgh and 1 day in Charleroi

* Must be available Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–6:00 PM

* Must be available for one Saturday per month, 10:00 AM–3:00 PM, with a weekday off during that week
