Chartiers Center is a private, non-profit corporation funded by state, county, 3rd party insurances and private funds. Services include intake, referral, outpatient therapy, psychiatric assessment, service coordination, substance abuse treatment, training and social rehabilitative services, crisis intervention, partial hospitalization, community outreach, day and recreational services for adults with intellectual disabilities, homeless outreach and housing program.

As a Mental Health Residential Worker with Chartiers Center, you will play an important role in supporting individuals with mental health challenges as they work toward greater independence and recovery. In this rewarding position, you will build meaningful relationships with residents while providing guidance, encouragement, and hands-on support in a residential setting.

Job

Responsibilities Include:

• Assist residents with developing and maintaining daily living skills, promoting independence and self-sufficiency.
• Provide individualized skill training through hands-on assistance, direct instruction, observation, and coaching in areas related to daily living and personal growth.
• Support the overall operation of the residential facility by assisting with laundry, housekeeping, shopping, and other household tasks as needed.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies, crises, and incidents, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents while following agency policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Accurately document resident progress, incidents, and other required information in a timely and professional manner.
• Foster a supportive, respectful, and recovery-focused environment that empowers residents to achieve their goals.

Daylight, evenings, weekends, overnight. Flexible scheduling. Employee will earn a 10% shift differential to his/her rate when working the 11p – 7a shift.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED and one year of related experience. Valid PA Driver's License.
