We are currently looking for a talented Front Desk Supervisor to join our hotel team at Ledges Hotel
.

This is a hands-on position with shifts serving as front desk associate and manager on duty as business needs require. The right candidate will have a positive attitude, take ownership to solve problems, model best practices, and actively coach and train team members. Knowledge of hotel guest services and supervision is expected. The ideal candidate must be a true hospitality-oriented person, possessing high standards and the ability to develop and motivate a team.

Daily, consistent, and positive interaction with guests is required. This person ensures that all hotel employees promptly greet and register guests, assign rooms, issue keys, and checks-out guests. In addition to these primary duties, they help maintain room inventory, answer guest inquiries, provide local dining and entertainment recommendations, help ensure facility security, and complete other relevant projects as assigned.

The ideal candidate has a degree or some training/coursework in hospitality management and at least one year of experience in a similar role (customer service, front desk, etc.), preferably in a hotel. They are poised, confident, organized, prompt, articulate, and helpful with a strong customer service focus. Candidates must be computer literate, internet savvy, mathematically strong, telephone proficient, and highly organized and must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes all shifts (mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays).

  • Ensures that required documentation is complete and is compliant with regulations and standards
  • Briefs staff about upcoming hotel events
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and all company policies
  • Ensures staff adheres to company standards and practices
  • Ensures that work areas are clean, and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored
  • Addresses and resolves customer concerns, find opportunities to “surprise and delight” guests
  • Supports all aspects of hotel operation, and assumes hotel operation leadership when working as manager on duty
  • Partners with other departments on all hotel and operational matters
  • Supports the hiring and training of hotel staff to ensure the flawless execution of hotel standards
  • Ensures proper food handling, alcohol management, cash handling, and workplace safety
  • Performs the role of host, server, or bartender when business needs require
  • Assists guests with reservations and honoring special requests, finding ways to maximize guest count while preserving the fine dining experience
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills; be responsive to phone calls, texts, and emails
  • Executes other related duties as assigned or needs require
