Laundry Attendant Position at Bear Creek
The ideal Laundry Attendant for Bear Creek is a guest service focused individual with the ability to help create a positive, memorable experience for our guests. The successful team member will be able to work with their team as well as individually, have good communication skills, be detail oriented and foster the Bear Creek culture by focusing on our guests. This position will be an important member of the Laundry team, performing a variety of tasks to facilitate the efficient flow of laundry through the laundry process ensuring the housekeeping team has linens available at the appropriate time to complete the room preparation for the new guests.
What We Expect From You:
- Daily stripping and collecting of dirty linens and garbage from each guest room floor
- Operate the industrial iron to maintain a quality appearance of guestroom linen
- Fold all towels, guestroom and spa linens to maintain appearance
- Remove all garbage at the end of the day
- Clean and organize laundry room
- Track supply inventories
- Stock housekeeping closets with fresh linens and supplies to meet par levels
- Clean daily assigned public spaces (this includes mopping, emptying trash inside and out, cleaning public restrooms, dusting, and straightening of assigned areas)
- Smile, acknowledge and greet guest in rooms and/or in passing in hallways and other public areas.
- Respond to guest's request for additional supplies such as extra towels, iron board, etc.
- Proper use of cleaning supplies
- Maintain cleaning equipment in its proper condition
- Perform work duties in accordance with safety and security policies and procedures.
- Perform work duties in accordance with regulations such as OSHA, HAZCOM, and Blood Borne Pathogens.
- Inspect all aspects of assigned areas to ensure that all items are in proper working order for our guest and reporting any maintenance issues to your immediate supervisor
- Assist with regularly scheduled deep cleaning responsibilities
- Handle guest service requests
What We Expect From All BCMR Team Members:
- Acknowledge all guests and respond promptly to their needs, however busy and whatever time of day. Ensure unresolved incidents are reported to Manager/Supervisor
- Familiarity with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
- Contribute to the team's success by accomplishing tasks and assisting with projects as needed
- Maintain knowledge and compliance with departmental policies, service procedures, and standards
- Work as a team member to ensure our guests have the best possible experience
- Understand emergency procedures and be able to apply them when necessary
- Report any incidents, property damage or injuries immediately to Manager/Supervisor
- Attend department meetings and training sessions as necessary
- Other duties as assigned by Manager and/or Supervisor

- Comply with Bear Creek and Southern Management's policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- 6 months of laundry room experience preferred
- Availability during peak operating times, i.e.: weekends, holidays and special events

Skills:
- Must be familiar with cleaning supplies and how to use them
- Have proper phone skills
- Attention to detail and follow through
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment and cleaning chemicals preferred
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in stressful, high-pressure situations while maintaining composure and guest satisfaction
