• Inspect the level of cleanliness in guest rooms, storage areas, laundry areas, restrooms, and public areas.
• Distribute keys and work assignments to staff.
• Complete follow-up on vacant or occupied rooms.
• Assist in the ordering and receiving of linen and cleaning supplies to maintain appropriate inventory levels necessary for the efficient operation of the department; assists with monthly linen and supply inventory.
• Ensure the completion of the Housekeepers Report and communicate clean and available rooms to the Guest Services Department.
• Document and communicate maintenance requests to the Engineering Department to ensure hotel service quality standards are met.
• Respond quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Report appropriate guest complaints or requests to the appropriate department and follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Display a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
• Follow company policies and procedures and be able to effectively communicate them to subordinates.
• Conduct training classes regarding safety, security, department procedures, and service guidelines.
• Ensure hotel is in compliance with all federal, state and local laws, including OSHA, EEOC, Wage-Hour and Health laws.
