Catering Server - Part Time

Responsibilities

• Greet and verbally acknowledge each guest promptly.
• Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous service of food and beverages to banquet and casino guests in accordance with venue and/or promotion/event standards.
• Ensure each station is ready for guests' arrival in accordance with the Banquet Event Order.
• Have knowledge of all event specifications and details in accordance with the Banquet Event Order.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items and how each item is prepared.
• Monitor guests' needs continually and ensure all requests are promptly fulfilled.
• Have a general knowledge of operations at HCPN to answer guest inquiries regarding racing, slots, wagering, etc.
• Keep the work area neat and clean in accordance with all Pennsylvania Department of Health standards.
• Restock assigned station at the end of shift and have it ready for the start of the next shift.
• Ensure all necessary pre‑shift and post‑shift side work is completed daily.
• Attend any pre‑shift meetings.
• Participate as a team member with all servers, bartenders, and any other casino personnel to ensure efficient operations.
• Maintain a regular and consistent attendance record.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations.
• Ability to operate POS systems.

• Walking 45 % of the time.
• Standing 10 % of the time.
• Bending and lifting 45 % of the time.
• Lift or move a maximum of 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
• High noise level.
• Work is performed in a smoking environment in guest areas; employees work in a non‑smoking environment with designated smoking areas.

$7.25 an hour, plus tips.
