Full-Time Hotel Housekeeping Houseperson/Shuttle Driver

The Golden Plough Inn located in Peddler's Village is in search of a Full-Time Hotel Housekeeping Houseperson/Shuttle Driver to join our team!

The Hotel Houseperson is responsible for assisting and supporting room attendants in the maintenance and cleanliness of guest areas and rooms in accordance with hotel standards and driving guests in the hotel shuttle.

Must have valid driver's license

1-2 years of hotel experience helpful

Shifts include days, weekends & holidays

This position requires a background screening upon hire

Public Transportation is not available to our location. Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Duties & Responsibilities :

• Removal and storage of dirty linen and trash from guest rooms
• Deliver supplies and clean linens to Room Attendants throughout the property
• Assist room attendants with cleaning of the public/guest areas
• Deep cleaning projects as assigned
• Handle guest deliveries to rooms and special requests.
• Respond and attend to basic guest repair requests.
• Communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues.
• Assist Maintenance by performing routine preventive maintenance in the guest rooms and each of the common areas of the Inn.
• Program TV's and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
• Drive guests in the hotel shuttle.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.

Physical demands:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to walk; stand; maneuver stairs and tight spaces; sit; use hands, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. Ability to lift, carry, push, pull and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Must be able to tolerate exposure to dust and cleaning products.

Work environment:
This job requires walking on our 42-acre campus, which would expose the employee to the prevailing weather conditions. Noise level is usually minimal.
