Security Checkpoint Supervisor

The Security Checkpoint Supervisor is responsible for controlling access to the property while providing excellent customer service to guests, residents, vendors, and employees. The role includes verifying reservations or credentials, directing traffic, issuing passes, answering guest questions, monitoring security, maintaining accurate entry logs, and communicating with security and front desk staff to ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming arrival experience.

The selected candidate will be expected to perform the following functions: follows broadly based directions; trains and develops subordinate Security Department personnel; reads and analyzes a wide variety of instructional and training information; interacts and communicates with people representing a wide variety of units and organizations; conducts disciplinary and counseling sessions when necessary; develops department schedules, ensures operational status and conducts weekly random checks of alarm systems.

Essential functions include supervising all activities of checkpoints, overseeing standard operating procedures, supervising and scheduling of checkpoint concierge associates, conducting monthly gate inspections and training, advising on course of action on security and safety concerns, maintaining a high level of knowledge in resort policies and procedures, issuing disciplinary actions when appropriate, maintaining and logging records of all documentation, and other job duties as assigned.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required include a high school graduate, PA Act 235 certification preferred, supervisory experience preferred, at least 1 years' experience working on a resort required on checkpoint concierge, ability to work various shifts, including flex shift/float position, excellent leadership skills, ability to make sound decisions, ability to work independently without direct supervision, ability to speak and write English, possession and maintenance of a current, valid driver's license, and participation in a resort provided hospitality security officer certification program and obtaining a passing score within 60 days of hire.
