Night Supervisor – Fota Island Resort
Fota Island Resort is currently recruiting for a Night Supervisor to join our dedicated Night Team.
This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys working in a guest-focused environment during the night shift. The Night Supervisor will support the smooth running of the hotel overnight, ensuring our guests receive the highest level of service while assisting with Front Office, concierge and general hotel operations.

What We Are Looking For:
- Full clean driver's licence.
- Experience using hotel operating systems such as Opera and Micros is desirable.
- Previous hospitality experience, particularly within a 4 or 5-star hotel, is desirable
- Previous experience in a hotel, Front Office, concierge or similar customer-facing role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm, professional and organised during busy periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks.
- Confident handling guest queries, requests and complaints.
- Ability to work independently while also supporting the wider Night Team.
- Good knowledge of hotel operations and guest service standards.
- High standard of verbal and written communication.
- Flexibility to work night shifts across a seven-day roster.

Responsibilities:
- Provide a warm, friendly and professional service to all guests throughout the night.
- Support the smooth running of the hotel during the night shift and assist the Night Manager with the supervision of nightly operations.
- Assist with Front Office duties including guest check-in and check-out, room queries, telephone enquiries and guest requests.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of the hotel, its facilities, services, events and daily activity in order to provide accurate information to guests.
- Complete regular walk-arounds of the hotel, public areas, accommodation areas and wider resort, ensuring standards of presentation, cleanliness and guest comfort are maintained throughout the night.
- Ensure public areas, entrances, meeting rooms and guest areas remain clean, tidy and presentable.
- Complete nightly Front Office checklists, reports and handovers.
- Assist with night audit procedures and ensure relevant reports are completed and distributed correctly.
- Assist with concierge duties including luggage assistance, guest requests, room drops and arranging taxis or other transport.
- Assist with meeting room set-ups and ensure function and meeting spaces are prepared for the following day's business.
- Assist with room service preparation and delivery where required.
- Support the Residents' Bar and Food & Beverage areas when required.
- Liaise closely with Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Be fully aware of the daily status of the hotel, including occupancy, arrivals, departures, functions, events and relevant handover information.
- Lead by example, demonstrating a warm and welcoming approach to guests and encouraging a strong team ethos across departments.
- Follow all hotel SOPs, policies and procedures and ensure consistently high standards of service.
- Complete any other reasonable duties required to support the smooth operation of the hotel during the night.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, guest-focused supervisor who is comfortable moving between Front Office, concierge and general hotel duties and who takes pride in ensuring the hotel is ready for both our overnight guests and the following day's operation.
