Roundtop Mountain Resort is seeking a motivated safety-driven leader focused on both employee and guest experiences, to join our Lift Experience team as an Assistant Manager, Lift Experience. This is a winter seasonal hourly leadership position that plays a critical role in delivering exceptional guest experiences while ensuring the safe, efficient, and professional operation of lift loading, unloading, and ticket scanning operations throughout the resort.

The Assistant Manager provides direct leadership and support to Lift Experience Team Leads, Lift Operators, and Scanning Attendants, fostering a culture centered on safety, accountability, employee engagement, and world-class guest service. This position is responsible for supervising daily operations, coaching and developing employees, supporting staffing and scheduling efforts, addressing guest concerns, and ensuring compliance with all company and regulatory safety standards.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who thrives in a fast-paced outdoor environment, leads by example, builds high-performing teams, and is passionate about creating memorable experiences for both guests and employees.

Job Responsibilities
  • Guest Experience Leadership
  • Champion an exceptional guest experience by ensuring safe, friendly, and efficient lift and scanning operations.
  • Serve as a visible leader throughout the mountain, greeting guests and proactively addressing concerns.
  • Respond to guest questions, complaints, and service recovery opportunities in a professional and timely manner.
  • Promote a welcoming and inclusive environment that reflects Roundtop Mountain Resort's commitment to hospitality.
  • Partner with other departments to ensure a seamless guest journey from arrival through lift access and on-mountain experiences.
Employee Experience & Leadership
  • Directly hire and supervise Lift Experience Leads, Lift Operators, and Scanning Attendants.
  • Foster a culture of engagement, accountability, recognition, and inclusion.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop employees to improve performance, confidence, and leadership skills.
  • Conduct daily assignments, operational briefings, and safety meetings.
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback, recognition, coaching, and corrective action when necessary.
