Position Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Human Resources Generalist to support a wide range of HR functions, including employee relations, compliance, onboarding, performance management, and benefits administration. This role will serve as a key partner to managers and employees, ensuring HR practices align with company policies and applicable employment laws.
Duties- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and certifications.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Completes new hire orientation as to the company as well as benefits orientation.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Maintains and completes all tasks in HRIS systems
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
- HR certification preferred (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR)
- 2–5+ years of experience in a Human Resources role
- Experience handling employee relations, onboarding, and HR compliance
- Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Paylocity, ADP, Workday) preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
