Human Resources Assistant

Salary: $20-25/HR Based on Experience

This role will be 4 days per week

Metz Culinary Management is growing and we have openings for a talented administrative assistant with experience in a human resources setting, who shares our passion for food and service. Our HR administrative assistant will be a valued team member contributing to human resources functions and responsibilities. The right candidate will have amazing communication skills, a focused and driven work ethic and be willing to roll up their sleeves jumping in and learning all functions in a busy office setting.

This is a great opportunity for a recent college graduate with an HR focus, and provides an amazing opportunity for learning and growth. Duties will include but not be limited to background investigations, employment verification, payroll functions, HRMS data entry, responses to unemployment hearings and ensuring legal compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures to support an employee-oriented, high performance culture.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources strongly desired
  • Experience utilizing HRMS systems or ability to learn systems quickly
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Payroll experience a very strong plus
  • Basic understanding of HR employee and employer relationship management
  • Tech savvy with in-depth understanding of Microsoft Office and applications
  • Ability to switch gears quickly in a fast paced office setting
  • Experience with multi-line phone systems
  • Experience using and maintaining typical office equipment
