Position Summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions is seeking a highly motivated Talent Research Specialist to support our growing engineering and technical hiring initiatives. This is a sourcing-focused position and is not a full-cycle recruiting role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for proactively identifying, engaging, and building pipelines of high-quality technical talent across a variety of engineering and manufacturing disciplines.

This individual will leverage advanced sourcing strategies, complex Boolean search techniques, Linked In Recruiter, internal applicant tracking systems, and other talent platforms to identify passive and active candidates for current and future hiring needs. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, curiosity, persistence, and a solid understanding of engineering and technical terminology.

The Talent Research Specialist will work closely with recruiters and hire managers to understand position requirements, market trends, and competitive talent landscapes while delivering qualified candidate pipelines for key business functions.

Key Responsibilities Talent Sourcing & Candidate Identification
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for technical and engineering positions across multiple business units.
  • Utilize Linked In Recruiter, internal ATS platforms, job boards, professional networks, and industry-specific resources to identify top talent.
  • Conduct advanced Boolean searches to locate passive candidates with highly specialized technical backgrounds.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
  • Research target companies and industries to identify potential candidates and competitive market intelligence.
Technical Candidate Research
  • Develop a strong understanding of engineering disciplines, manufacturing environments, and technical skill sets, including but not limited to:
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Manufacturing Engineering
    • Industrial Engineering
    • Project Engineering
    • Quality Engineering
    • Product Development
    • Supply Chain and Operations
    • Field Applications Engineering
    • Product Management
  • Interpret technical resumes and candidate profiles to assess alignment with hiring requirements.
  • Understand common engineering tools, manufacturing processes, and industry terminology to improve sourcing effectiveness.
Candidate Engagement
  • Conduct initial outreach to prospective candidates through Linked In and other networking platforms.
  • Build relationships with passive candidates and maintain ongoing communication for future opportunities.
  • Generate candidate interest by effectively communicating career opportunities and Amphenol's value proposition.
  • Document candidate interactions and maintain accurate records within the applicant tracking system.
Collaboration
  • Partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers to understand hiring priorities and technical requirements.
  • Participate in intake meetings to develop effective sourcing plans.
  • Maintain organized candidate pipelines and provide regular sourcing updates.
  • Support diversity sourcing initiatives and long‑term workforce planning efforts.
Qualifications Required
  • 5+ years of experience in technical sourcing, talent acquisition support, recruiting research, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience using Linked In Recruiter for technical talent identification.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with advanced Boolean search techniques across multiple platforms.
  • Strong understanding of engineering and technical terminology.
  • Experience sourcing candidates within manufacturing, engineering, technology, or industrial industries.
  • Ability to interpret technical resumes and identify transferable skills.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and CRM platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience sourcing for engineering or manufacturing organizations.
  • Familiarity with the electronic interconnect, industrial, automotive, aerospace, telecommunications, or data communications industries.
