About the Role

Essity’s North America HR Team seeks an experienced Compensation & Benefits Manager responsible for the Compensation & Benefits process and supporting delivery of the HR strategy. The role supports all North America business units, ensuring organizational efficiency, synergy, and compliance with local laws and regulations. This is a hybrid position located at our Philadelphia, PA office.

What Will You Do
  • Provide Compensation and Benefits support and contribute to global HR process delivery as a process member or system super user.
  • Deliver compensation support including job evaluations and set up of compensation packages to fulfill business unit and global HR process requirements.
  • Assist with annual salary surveys, salary and bonus processes.
  • Administer and ensure compliance for all North America benefit retirement and pension programs.
  • Provide recommendations regarding local retirement/pension programs.
  • Administer US deferred compensation program.
  • Conduct budgeting and financial analysis of employee Compensation and Benefit programs.
  • Ensure compliance with governmental regulations related to Compensation and Benefits programs, including required plan testing, audits, and SOX compliance.
  • Serve as primary contact with Compensation and Benefits consultants and plan providers.
  • Oversee vendor systems and technology to support benefit plans, working closely with Payroll and Employee Services.
  • Coordinate and execute global and local specific process or policy delivery across business units, facilitating equal treatment and pay equity.
  • Propose harmonization of specific HR processes at country level and implement policies and guidelines in line with HR Global and business unit principles.
  • Implement specific Global Compensation and Benefits policies and local legal requirements.
  • Support Mobility (International Assignments, etc.) and provide input to Mobility HQ.
  • Provide expert advice, manage vendor relations, and contribute to a service culture to fulfill the service level agreement.
Who You Are
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and compliance requirements related to employee compensation and benefits.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to plan and set priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with senior management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in business, human resources or related field and six years of progressively responsible experience in employee compensation and benefits.
