As a Dev Ops Engineer, you will combine your passion for technology with a quick-to-learn attitude and a focus on teamwork. This role is integral to supporting our engineering teams in enhancing our product delivery, with a strong emphasis on automating and optimizing our development processes. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in managing cloud environments across AWS and Google Cloud, and will collaborate closely with development, security, and operations to streamline the software development lifecycle.
This position aims to boost developer productivity, accelerate delivery, and enhance code quality, addressing process inefficiencies and improving the deployment and operation of our product environments.
This position will report directly to our Dev Ops Team Lead and requires extensive collaboration with cross functional teams.
This position offers a base salary of $130,000 and company equity.
The Day-to-DayYour aim will be to boost developer productivity, accelerate delivery, and enhance code quality, addressing process inefficiencies and improving the deployment and operation of our product environments. This includes (but is not limited to):
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS and GCP.
- Be comfortable with a CLI.
- Understand and be able to write scripts in your language of choice.
- Implement and manage continuous delivery systems and methodologies on Git Lab and Git Hub.
- Utilize Terraform and Terragrunt to manage cloud infrastructure as code, ensuring secure and efficient deployments.
- Automate operational processes as needed, with accuracy and in compliance with our security requirements.
- Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve system performance and reduce downtime.
- Provide technical guidance and educate team members on development and operations.
- Document and design various processes; update existing processes.
- Improve infrastructure development and application development.

- Starting with the obvious: you are PASSIONATE! (Seriously, you must LOVE what you do!)
- You have a strong background in Linux/Unix administration.
- You have experience with AWS, GCP, and other cloud services.
- You have proficiency in infrastructure as code, specifically Terraform and Terragrunt.
- Possess an in-depth understanding of security best practices, including experience with security scanning tools and the ability to architect secure systems.
- You’ve had solid experience with Git Lab and Git Hub for version control and CI/CD pipelines.
- You possess excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- You demonstrate strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- You are legally authorized to work permanently in the US without employer sponsorship
- You have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
