What You’ll DoWe are seeking a talented and experienced Business Analyst to join our Data Management and Analytics team. As a Business Analyst, you will document business, technical, and functional requirements; analyze and wrangle data; provide data-driven insights; analyze business processes; and recommend enhancements to improve organizational performance.
Responsibilities- Lead a cross‑functional team to gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to data, reporting, and analytics initiatives.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop metrics that generate revenue, streamline operations, or reduce risks.
- Translate business requirements into technical overviews executable by engineering, reporting, and data sciences teams.
- Perform data discovery and analysis to identify datasets and gaps needed to solve business requirements.
- Proactively identify and propose solutions to challenging data problems and anticipate potential data issues before they arise.
- Facilitate delivery of on‑time data initiatives that meet business requirements.
- Identify and assess potential data quality issues and work with the Data Governance team to implement appropriate controls.
- Conduct thorough data investigations, report defects, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise on the Enterprise data warehouse, its ETL processes, and deliver ad‑hoc data requests or navigation assistance.
- Create, support, and maintain Power
BI reports, semantic data models, and data refresh schedules. - Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analysis and reporting.
- 2 to 3 years of proven experience as a Business or Data Analyst, preferably in the banking or financial industry.
- Experience with banking systems.
- Detail‑oriented mindset with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, process facilitation, and project management with critical thinking to resolve business challenges.
- Manages requests/projects with workflow via Kanban boards and updates statuses, due dates, and communication via User Stories/Features/Defects (Azure Dev Ops preferred or similar Jira/Atlassian).
- Self‑starter and resourceful in managing workload and expectations from leadership, stakeholders, and team members.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.
- Proven analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and derive meaningful insights.
- Proficiency in data visualization using Power
BI. - Proficiency in databases and understanding of data models (Snowflake experience preferred or similar Azure, SQL, Oracle, AWS, Google).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at various levels.
