Manager, Data Feeds (hybrid)

The Manager, Data Feeds is a hands‑on technical leadership role responsible for designing, implementing, and managing data ingestion and extraction pipelines using Tandigm's Azure Data Factory-based framework. This role combines people leadership, technical execution, and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure high‑quality, well‑understood data flows from a wide variety of internal and external sources.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience with Azure Data Factory, SQL‑based data processing, and prior experience serving as a technical lead, ideally within a healthcare data environment (e.g., insurance, clinical, pharmaceutical data).

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable data ingestion and extraction pipelines using Azure Data Factory and associated Azure services.
• Develop and optimize SQL‑based transformations, validations, and extraction logic to support downstream analytics, reporting, and operational use cases.
• Apply Tandigm's data integration standards, patterns, and best practices to ensure maintainability, observability, and performance.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing data feeds to improve reliability, timeliness, and data quality.

• Partner with business, analytics, and data governance teams to understand, classify, and document incoming data assets.
• Identify data quality issues, anomalies, or gaps and work collaboratively to resolve them.
• Ensure data is ingested and labeled in a manner that supports analytics, compliance, and future reuse.

• May lead a small team of data engineers and developers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, mentoring, and day‑to‑day support.
• Balance hands‑on development with people management responsibilities, including planning, prioritization, and performance coaching.
• Promote engineering best practices, including testing, code quality, and operational excellence.

• Work closely with product owners, analysts, architects, and external partners to deliver new data feeds and enhancements.
• Translate business and clinical requirements into clear technical designs and implementation plans.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data integration, or ETL/ELT development.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Azure Data Factory in production environments.
• Advanced SQL skills, including performance tuning and complex query development.
• Prior experience serving as a technical team lead or manager.
• Experience building and supporting data pipelines from a variety of source systems (e.g., files, databases, APIs).
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to data quality and reliability.
