  • Location - Iselin, NJ (Hybrid onsite 2 days per week)
  • Expected full‑time salary range between $170,000 - $210,000 + variable compensation + 401(k) match + benefits.

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure Engineering and Support, the purpose of this role is to act as the senior design influence within the CLS technology team. The incumbent is expected to partner and lead with existing subject matter experts in technology architecture, providing thought leadership to technical strategy, including driving product roadmaps, reviewing and analysing current architecture and its ability to support strategic objectives.

Function / Major Duties and Responsibilities Strategic
  • Engage with senior business and IT leaders to develop a macro view of current and future state of business and technology architecture closely aligned to the business strategy.
  • Advise and recommend enterprise architecture strategies, processes and methodologies.
  • Research and assess potential technology target state solutions on the market in alignment with strategic direction.
Operational
  • Develop and maintain CLS' enterprise architecture including IT roadmaps and strategies.
  • Define and govern enterprise architectural principles and standards by which technology solutions and designs are developed.
  • Provide Enterprise Architecture oversight to delivery projects, ensuring alignment to strategy, identifying risks and proposing mitigations.
  • Create and present technology strategy and target state to internal and external clients and stakeholders.
Leadership
  • Provide support to IT Architects and other technology teams working on delivery projects to ensure new systems are integrated into the existing architecture in an optimised and strategic manner.
  • Architectural leadership in the resolution of inter‑program and inter‑project issues.
Experience / Essential and Desired for Successful Job Performance
  • Practical experience in a senior solution architect role designing, integrating and managing complex technology solutions, preferably within financial services.
  • An expert in applying and developing robust enterprise architecture processes and methodologies for effective technical governance.
Qualifications / Certifications
  • Bachelor and/or Master's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
Advantageous but Not Essential Qualifications
  • Architecture Certification (TOGAF, CITA, RHCA, etc.).

Skills and Abilities

/ Competencies Required for Successful Job Performance
  • Strong presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Skilled in analysis and interpretation of large, complex IT/technology products and services, including modelling, graphical representations and abstractions.
  • Ability to organise complex technology solutions that include specific technology deliverables, roadmaps, timelines, operational requirements and budget impacts.
  • Ability to create cloud‑based architectural patterns and solutions at an enterprise level.
  • Experience with at least three of the following domains: cloud, analytics, data management, infrastructure, access channels, security, applications, software engineering, networking, or systems integration.
Success Factors / How to Excelling in the Position
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficient in senior stakeholder management and influencing, up to and including C‑suite.
  • Ability to work within a highly regulated complex IT environment on mission‑critical systems with globally distributed teams and tight timelines.
