SEI's Investment Management Unit (IMU) is looking for an Investment Solutions Technology & Data Analyst to join our Technology Team. This highly visible, project‑driven role has a direct impact on technology, data architecture, and analytical solutions that support SEI’s investment management and market units.
The successful candidate will partner closely with investment, technology, and operations teams to define business needs, lead technology‑focused initiatives, and design and deliver data solutions that improve scalability, efficiency, and insight across the investment management platform.
Responsibilities- Partner with IMU business teams to gather requirements, perform business analysis, and translate investment and data needs into technical solutions.
- Lead and contribute to technology and data projects, including system integrations, platform enhancements, vendor onboarding, and process modernization initiatives.
- Design and help implement data architectures, workflows, and controls to support scalable investment data acquisition, transformation, and consumption.
- Work with internal technology teams and third‑party vendors to integrate new data sources, systems, and tools into the IMU data ecosystem.
- Coordinate and support testing of new system releases, integrations, and enhancements, validating new build components and ensuring alignment with business requirements.
- Support project management activities: define scope, timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and risk mitigation plans.
- Develop and enhance data pipelines, controls, and automated processes to improve data quality, transparency, and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot complex data and integration issues by coordinating across analysts, engineers, portfolio teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to the creation of process documentation, technical specifications, and operating models for new and existing solutions.
- Support strategic initiatives and new product launches by providing data, technology, and analytical expertise.
- Identify opportunities to standardize, automate, and modernize investment data and technology processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, MIS, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in financial services, investment management, or a technology‑enabled data role.
- Strong experience working on technology or data‑driven projects, including system integrations or platform enhancements.
- Experience supporting or coordinating testing efforts for technology or data solutions.
- Experience with project coordination or project management methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to perform business analysis and translate requirements into technical designs or solution approaches.
- Working knowledge of relational databases and data tools (SQL, Python, Power BI, or similar).
- Familiarity with investment data, products, and workflows (traditional and/or alternative assets).
- Exposure to investment systems and vendors such as Bloomberg, Fact Set, Black Rock Solutions, or similar platforms is a plus.
- CFA, CIPM, or progress toward designation is a plus (reimbursement provided).
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to engage both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable working as a translator and solution partner between business and technology teams.
- Process‑oriented mindset to design and improve workflows.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, quality, and controls.
- Self‑motivated, intellectually curious, and eager to learn new technologies and investment concepts.
- Ability to operate independently while collaborating effectively in a team‑based environment.
